All those carrying out assurance checks must be…

Trained as MOT testers
Hold a Level 2 qualification in MOT Testing or equivalent for the appropriate class
Comply with the requirements for annual training and assessments

As an Authorised Examiner, one of your key priorities will be keeping your station to, and ideally above, DVSA compliance standards. Failure to meet these standards can result in warnings, short term closure of business and in more severe cases, complete closure of your MOT station and legal action being brought against you.
