MOT Tester Qualifications

Through our partnership with MOT Expert, we can get you qualified for the class of vehicles you wish to test. All our training is held at our purpose built head office in Northampton with courses delivered by our highly experienced, well knowledged instructional staff. Important Information
Tester Qualifications Available
Class 4&7
The Level 2 MOT class 4&7 tester course will get you qualified to test cars, passenger vehicles up to 8 seats and vans up to 3500kg in weight. During this course you will go through the MOT manual, Health and Safety as well as your requirements to stay ‘live’ as an MOT Tester. You will need to pass a multiple-choice online exam as well as perform a practical assessment MOT test to DVSA satisfactory standard to get signed off as a qualified tester.You will be required to hold a recognised Level 3 qualification to sit this course. If you do not currently hold a Level 3 qualification, do not worry! We also deliver a level 3 accreditation course which you can combine with the MOT 4&7 course or sit separately before attending.
Class 1&2
The Level 2 MOT class 1&2 tester course will get you qualified to test mopeds and bikes. During this 2-day course you will go through the MOT manual, Health and Safety within the test station as well as your requirements to stay ‘live’ as an MOT Tester. You will need to pass a multiple-choice online exam as well as perform a practical assessment MOT test to DVSA satisfactory standard to get signed off as a qualified tester.
Class 5
The class 5 MOT tester course is required for testing private passenger vehicles such as minibuses. This is a one-day course going through the theory and practical process. You will required to already hold a live Class 4&7 MOT tester qualification to be able to attend this course.
